Wales qualified for the second round of Euro 2016 as Group B winners after a 3-0 win over Russia, while England went through as runners-up following a goalless draw against Slovakia.

Here, Press Association Sport looks at how the action unfolded.

11 minutes: Wales take the lead and it's not Gareth Bale. Blonde bombshell Aaron Ramsey races on to a through ball from fellow midfielder Joe Allen and keeps his composure to calmly dink the ball over Russian goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev.

20 minutes: Things get even better for the Welsh in Toulouse. Neil Taylor sprints towards goal after being inadvertently played in by a Russian defender and, after his initial shot is saved by Akinfeev, the full-back controls the rebound before firing home his first international goal.

67 minutes: Bale finally gets in on the act to put the result beyond doubt and move himself to the top of the tournament's scoring charts. Ramsey provides the assist this time, slipping in the Real Madrid man who pokes his third goal in three games into the bottom right corner.
