Manchester United's teenage striker Marcus Rashford scored on his senior England debut against Australia at the Stadium of Light.
Here Football.co.uk looks at how he performed.
AWARENESS
Showed encouraging link-up play with strike partner Raheem Sterling early in the first half. Demonstrated again his knack of being in the right place at the right time, which is a good habit to have.
COMPOSURE
Took his goal well but got himself in a tangle when played in by Sterling later in the half and lost the chance for a second.
THREAT
Gave an ordinary Australia defence something to think about but should probably have troubled them more than he did. Pushed out to the wing to accommodate Rooney at half-time, lessening his impact.
FINISHING
No doubt about that. Scored from a volley with just his second touch, with the first playing in Sterling for the assist.
OVERALL
His international debut could not have gone much better with a goal inside three minutes. Had a lively hour-long run-out and looked like he was enjoying himself with a performance which has given Roy Hodgson something to think about.
