Ben Foster has raised the possibility of leaving Manchester United this summer after falling out of favour with manager Sir Alex Ferguson. Foster, 27, started the season as a first-team regular at Old Trafford as Edwin van der Sar sat out the opening games through injury. But the former Stoke and Watford keeper failed to take the opportunity, and high-profile errors against Manchester City and Sunderland saw him drop below Tomasz Kuszack to become third-choice keeper at the club. It was a big drop for a player who started the season with the target of being number one for the Red Devils and England. Ferguson has suggested Foster still has a future at the club, but the player himself is less convinced. "You never want to leave Manchester United. If you leave this club you are only ever going to go down - but I want to be playing football," he told the Manchester Evening News.  "I am not interested in just hanging around and I would go if the club wanted to sell me. If they are happy to accept a bid then you have to read between the lines and realise you are not really needed and move on. It would not be the end of the world for me."
