First U19 call for Ipswich's Wickham

The Ipswich Town striker Connor Wickham has been called up to the England U19 squad for the first time for the first stage of European Championship qualifying. Noel Blake's side will head to Belgium for a four-team group. As well as the hosts, England will take on Albania and Cyprus from October 8-13. Two sides will go through to the second stage of qualifying. Wickham is not the only debutant in the squad - the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Kane has also been included for the first time. England will head to Belgium in confident mood, having opened their season with a 2-0 friendly win over Slovakia at Gresty Road.
