England's Euro 2016 squad the youngest at the tournament

England boss Roy Hodgson's final 23-man squad for Euro 2016 has the lowest average age - 25.8 years - of any at the tournament.

The party includes a teenager in 18-year-old Marcus Rashford, 20-year-old Dele Alli, 21-year-old Raheem Sterling and four 22-year-olds - Harry Kane, Ross Barkley, Eric Dier and John Stones. There are only four players aged 30 or over.

Below, Football.co.uk shows how the nations competing at this summer's showpiece in France rank in terms of the average ages of their squads, from lowest to highest.

The Republic of Ireland's has the highest average age, 29.8 years. Boss Martin O'Neill has selected 11 players aged 30 or over and only one under the age of 24.

Wales are the seventh youngest group at 27.3 years, while Northern Ireland are further down the scale at 28.5 years.
