England stars train ahead of Euro departure

After a worrying week of injury problems threatened to derail England's Euro 2012 challenge before the tournament had even started, there was better news for manager Roy Hodgson on Tuesday as all 23 of his players took part in "recovery work or training".

Hodgson has lost Gareth Barry, Frank Lampard, Gary Cahill and John Ruddy from his original 23-man squad for the finals, while John Terry, Scott Parker, Glen Johnson and Danny Welbeck have all been struggling with various injuries.

But, according to the Football Association, the entire group took part in the recovery and training sessions on Tuesday and Hodgson could finally focus on working with his players ahead of their Group D opener against France on June 11 in Donetsk, Ukraine.

Hodgson's side are due to fly to their Polish training base in Krakow on Wednesday and Chelsea defender Terry should be on the plane, although he was due to have further tests on the tight hamstring he suffered during Saturday's win over Belgium.

Terry was sent for a scan on Sunday but initial indications were that it was not a major concern and the Chelsea skipper would be able to take his place in Hodgson's squad.

However, England have one more training session on Wednesday morning prior to departure before the travelling party is confirmed.
