England U19 2 Turkey 1

24 May 2010 23:37
The England U17 side secured top spot in Group B of the European Championship after coming from behind to beat Turkey. Okan Derici's headed goal after 31 minutes looked to have set Turkey on course for a win, and in truth it was the least they deserved. The advantage lasted only four minutes, however when Saido Berahino collected the ball from Luke Williams, rounded four players and poked the ball past Muhammed Uysal. England, who were already assured of a semi-final place having won their opening two games in Liechtenstein, secured the win when Rob Hall scored from the penalty spot after Benik Afobe was brought down in the area.
