England to wear red strip

England will wear an all-red strip for their must-win World Cup clash with Slovenia in Port Elizabeth, the FA have announced.

England have historically worn red shirts with white shorts and red socks as an away strip option.

But with FIFA mandating that teams offer a second and darker option for their change strips, England's players will don red shirts, shorts and socks against Slovenia in the Nelson Mandela Stadium.

It is not the first time that England have worn all red having done so on a couple of occasions during the 1962 tournament in Chile.
