Crouch hoping for England recall

Peter Crouch is working hard to regain his place in the England national side.

The Stoke striker hasn't played for England since scoring against France in November 2010 after falling out of favour with former manager Fabio Capello, but hopes his current form will mean a place in the Euro 2012 squad.

"I knew right from the start when I signed for Stoke that, if I was playing well and scoring goals, I would have a chance of being involved in the England set-up," he said.

"There is huge competition in the summer. I have been fortunate enough to play in two World Cups and 42 times for my country.

"I know if I am working hard and playing well I will get a chance and hopefully I will grab it with both hands."
