Michael Carrick sat out England training on Tuesday, as the Three Lions squad took to the turf ahead of Saturday's European Championship qualifier against Switzerland. The midfielder we rested at London Colney as a precaution after suffering a knock playing for Manchester United in the Champions League final against Barcelona, but is not expected to be a doubt for the match at Wembley.Coach Fabio Capello has opted not to call another striker into his squad, despite Jermain Defoe pulling out of the squad last week due to injury. That leaves Darren Bent, Peter Crouch and Bobby Zamora as his only forward options.Tottenham's Crouch and Fulham's Zamora were absent for their clubs on the final day of the Premier League season two weeks ago, but appear to have recovered from their injuries as they took part in this session.
