Carew keen for Gabby recall

John Carew has urged England coach Fabio Capello to give his Aston Villa strike partner Gabriel Agbonlahor another chance. Agbonlahor was overlooked by Capello for the recent double header with Slovenia and Croatia at Wembley. But he has responded by scoring in Villa's last three games and has reaped the benefits of a built-up physique "Gabby should be the England squad if you ask me - definitely," said Carew. "He's in terrific shape, has the the explosiveness of pace, plus the power - and he's scoring goals. "I don't see any reason why he shouldn't be in the England squad. He is on fire. Gabby has scored in three games in a row now and he's been brilliant. He scores important goals and good goals." Carew believes Agbonlahor's bulkier frame is a benefit providing he does not lose any pace as a result of his extensive weight training. He said: "As long as he doesn't lose his speed, it's good because then he gets even stronger in the challenges. "He shouldn't get bigger because he's already strong enough to hold off the defenders. "The way he is now he's the perfect shape. He's in his best shape, He doesn't need to get skinnier or bigger. "He's strong enough to hold off strong defenders and he has the pace to get away so he's just got it perfectly balanced now."
