Capello warning for Rooney

England head coach Fabio Capello is planning to hold talks with Wayne Rooney after urging the fiery Manchester United striker to be "careful".
Rooney, who was sent off as England exited the 2006 World Cup at the hands of Portugal, walked a thin disciplinary line after two bad-tempered tackles during Wednesday's 2-0 friendly win over USA.
The 22-year-old was substituted shortly after picking up a yellow card for a lunge on Frankie Hejduk at Wembley and, although Capello admires his competitive edge, the Italian has urged his striker to beware of crossing the line.
He said: "I have to speak to Rooney and explain not to do these tackles the next time I'm with the team.
"I like players who have quality, but also who do not fear to tackle.
"He is young, he is a good player and I think the future will be better. For this reason I think I have to speak with him.
"When you play you need to tackle very hard. He did two very, very hard tackles, possibly yellow cards but not red cards."
