    Capello happy with England win

    07 Jun 2009 - 12:07:23

Fabio Capello admitted his England side started Saturday's World Cup qualifier against Kazakhstan poorly but was pleased to eventually seal a 4-0 win in Almaty.

England almost conceded a goal inside the opening 60 seconds as they produced a limp opening 40 minutes to the match but ultimately maintained their 100 per cent start to the qualifying campaign thanks to goals by Gareth Barry, Emile Heskey, Wayne Rooney and Frank Lampard.

"It is very important to get three points at the end of the season," Capello told Sky Sports News after the game.

"We started off not very well, because they were pressing a lot and the pitch was not perfect for the style of the English players, but I am very happy with the performance. After 20 minutes we played a lot better.

"It is a good run, but now I am looking to make it seven wins out of seven because that is very, very important."
