Chelsea youngster Michael Mancienne is the surprise name in Fabio Capello's 23-man England squad for the friendly international against Germany in Berlin.
Defender Mancienne, who is currently on loan at Championship leaders Wolves, is joined in the senior squad by Aston Villa's in-form striker Gabriel Agbonlahor, while Spurs frontman Darren Bent has also secured a recall.
Chelsea and regular England skipper John Terry is likely to be ruled out after suffering a foot injury in the 3-0 victory at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, while Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand missed Manchester United's 5-0 thrashing of Stoke City.
Rooney has a calf strain and is also being troubled to a chest infection, while Ferdinand is nursing a back complaint.
Terry's club colleagues, Ashley and Joe Cole, are both sidelined with hamstring problems, while Wigan striker Emile Heskey is ruled out with a calf strain and both David Beckham and Michael Owen have been overlooked.
