Capello had sought assurances over his position after the Three Lions were knocked out at the second round of the World Cup finals by Germany. It was initially thought Capello would have to wait until July 15, when the Football Association board met, for that backing but it has now come. The Club England board, which consists of Sir Dave Richards, Alex Horne, Sir Trevor Brooking and Adrian Bevington, said on  Friday the Italian coach had their full support during qualifying for the 2012 European Championship. "After fully discussing our performance we remain convinced that Fabio is the best man for the job," said Richards. "He went into the World Cup with a reputation as one of World football's finest managers and we are confident Fabio will benefit from his first international tournament experience and this will undoubtedly make us all stronger for the Euro 2012 campaign." Capelo said he would look to revamp the England side following the disappointment in South Africa. "I can assure the fans I am now fully focused on our European qualifying fixtures, starting with the friendly against Hungary in August," he said. "We will look to introduce new players to give the team new energy and I will use all my experience to take England forward." The latest England MAD site poll suggests supporters remain unconvinced Capello should stay. We are asking users of the site to tell us if they still have faith in the coach: at 5pm on Friday afternoon 47.1 per cent of voters said they didn't, compared to 35.3 per cent who said they did and 17.6 per cent who were undecided.
