The Sunderland forward Darren Bent has become the latest player to pull out of the England squad to face Montenegro due to injury. Bent, 26, suffered a groin strain in training on Monday and will miss Tuesday night's game at Wembley. In Bent's absence, Peter Crouch will be given the chance to stake his claim to a regular starting spot by partnering Wayne Rooney up front. Phil Jagielka, Aaron Lennon and John Terry have already withdrawn from the squad due to injuries.
