Arsenal fear Gibbs has broken foot

Kieran Gibbs, the Arsenal left-back, may have broken his left foot for the second time this year. Gibbs, who will turn 21 on Saturday, suffered an injury in Tuesday's 4-1 Carling Cup win over Tottenham Hotspur and was due to have an x-ray on Wednesday. "We have to check, that is the only disappointment of the night, because Gibbs had a very good game," said Arsene Wenger, the Arsenal manager. "It is a metatarsal again, it is the one next to the one he had broken, the second one, so we hope we have good news, because that would be a massive blow to us." Gibbs made his senior England debut in the friendly win over Hungary in August.
