Energie Cottbus have strengthened their squad with the signings of Turkish defender Cagdas Atan and Romanian striker Emil Jula.

Both men have signed three-year deals with the Bundesliga club, with Atan arriving from Trabzonspor and Jula making the switch from Otelul Galati.

Cottbus general manager, Steffan Heidrich, told the club's official website: "We have watched Atan many times and we have been very impressed.

"We are delighted that such a robust and experienced player will be strengthening our squad.

"Emil Jula suits the way we play perfectly and is just the sort of player we have been looking for.

"His ability in front of goal, his style of play and his size will be of great benefit to the team."
