Wyness misses out for Elgin Elgin striker Dennis Wyness will miss out against Montrose with a knee injury in a fixture that has been brought forward from Boxing Day. Borough Briggs boss Ross Jack will pick his side at Saturday lunchtime as several players missed training on Thursday night due to illness. Jack said: "We have the chance to move into third place at least if we win this game and that would be a good reward for bringing the game forward. "In saying that, Montrose will be just as motivated to win and move above us in the table. "They started their game really strongly against East Stirling last weekend and scored three times before half-time so we need to be on our toes from the first whistle." Montrose have fitness doubts over defender Alan Campbell and midfielder Paul Watson as they head north looking to build on a 3-1 win over East Stirling. A first away win of the season would lift the Gable Endies into fourth place, with manager Stuart Garden looking for consistency. He said: "We bounced back from our horror show in the Scottish Cup against Edinburgh City to win 3-1 over East Stirling last Saturday. We showed the standard that we can reach in that game and I want us to keep delivering to that standard. "Elgin are a strong side at home but we have the players in our squad to win there and it would be great to start stringing a run of wins together."
