City suffer double blow

Elgin could climb into a play-off spot with a win over visitors East Stirling but they will be without the injured Brian Cameron (foot) and Paul Millar (knee).

Cameron and Millar have been ruled out with foot and knee problems respectively, while Connor McAuley is struggling with a knock and Sam Urquhart looks set to miss out due to work commitments.

Borough Briggs boss Ross Jack is looking for his strikers to be the difference against the Shire.

He said: "Dennis Wyness, Craig Gunn and Shane Sutherland have been doing terrifically well for us recently and hopefully they can keep it up.

"A win and a move up the table could transform our season. That is our aim from this game."

East Stirling are without a trio of suspended players with Michael Bolochoweckyj, Graeme MacGregor and David Greenhill all banned.

The Shire are also without Michael McGowan, who has left for Australia for work purposes, with head coach John Coughlin looking to bolster his squad by securing a loan deal for young Rangers striker Calum Gallagher.

Coughlin said: "We have been losing bad goals as a team and that needs to stop. We are on a disappointing run that has seen us slip from top spot to seventh and it is time to bring that to an end.

"A hard earned win at Elgin would be a great way to bounce back."
