Duff doubtful for City

Elgin will check on Jamie Duff ahead of the visit of Berwick.

The defender aggravated a knee injury in Saturday's fine 3-0 win at league leaders Albion Rovers. Cieran McLean (cheek) and Rory McEwan (hamstring) remain out.

Ahead of the game, manager Jim Weir said: "If we can win this game then we have reached the objective that was set when I started in November which was safety.

"We go into the game with a bit of confidence after winning at the home of the league leaders and with a chance of being involved in the promotion play-offs. However, Berwick will want the win for their play-off aims."

Berwick striker Darren Lavery has returned to training after a head injury but he may not be risked on the long journey north.

Player/manager Colin Cameron has ruled out the injured Billy Bald (hand), Ross Drummond (ankle) and Steven Notman (knee) with Craig Dargo dropping out of things after being released.

Cameron said: "We went up to Elgin for a midweek game last month and came home empty handed. I am hoping for better this time and get the win that would put us fifth in the table.

"We showed plenty of spirit to come back and draw with Queen's Park on Saturday and we will need that again."
