Elgin out to continue fine form

Elgin have experienced striker Dennis Wyness available after recent family commitments to face Annan at Borough Briggs as Ross Jack's side look to make it eight games in a row without defeat in Scottish League Two.

A facial injury keeps Ross MacKinnon on the sidelines, with Mark Nicolson not yet ready to return after a stomach problem and Paul Millar still out due to a knee injury.

Jack said: "One of our players, Fraser Forbes, is on loan to Buckie Thistle and played against Annan in the Scottish Cup last weekend so we are pretty well briefed. They are a good side with good strikers who will need a lot of watching."

Annan welcome back Steven Sloan as they head north to Elgin after he completed a two-match ban as the Galabank men defeated Buckie 4-0 last Saturday.

Steven Black drops out of things due to an ankle injury with on-loan Newcastle United kid Steven Logan also absent after his metatarsal break.

Manager Jim Chapman said: "Elgin have done really well to string a run of unbeaten games together in this really competitive league.

"We are slowly moulding ourselves into the side I would like us to be and if we play to our potential we are in with a chance of making a long journey worthwhile with a win."
