Elgin return to home comforts

Elgin make their first home appearance in over two months when Albion Rovers visit.

Manager Jim Weir has a full squad to choose from after Brian Cameron got the all-clear following a back injury.

Despite a lack of home comforts Weir's side have moved off bottom spot and the Borough Briggs boss said: "Everything is looking good for a home game after the flooding on the pitch and it would be nice to bring our away from home with us.

"Albion Rovers beat us too easily in our last meeting, however, we believe that we have improved since then. This will be a test of that improvement."

With Arbroath on Scottish Cup duty the Coatbridge side will top the table if they avoid defeat, but player-manager Darren Young is absent as he is still not fully fit following groin surgery.

Kyle Turnbull is also missing with an arm problem and Mark McGuigan is a major doubt with a hamstring injury .

Young said: "It is still early days in the league and all we are looking for is to continue the good run we have been on and to win the three points.

"Jim Weir has done a great job at Elgin since he went in there so we will need to play well to win."
