Cameron missing for City

Elgin City will be missing Brian Cameron through injury when Queen's Park arrive in the Highlands.

Blair Lawrie is available after missing out last weekend because of work commitments, but manager Ross Jack will finalise his side after fitness tests on Jamie Duff, Ross O'Donoghue and Barry Wilson.

Jack is looking for an improvement after a disappointing defeat to Montrose last Saturday as he explained: "We simply never got going at all and Montrose wanted it more than we did.

"That was really disappointing but we have the chance to put that right against Queen's Park.

"We started the league season well with a win over Berwick and a repeat of the form on that day would be great."

Queen's Park youngster Allan Urquhart is a doubt as the former Scotland schoolboy international is suffering from a groin strain.

The Spiders have already ruled out Steven Baillie, Michael O'Hara, David Anderson, Tony Quinn and David Murray so Paul Stewart is expected to start if Urquhart does not make it.

Hampden head coach Gardner Speirs is looking for his men to continue taking points from their hosts.

He said: "We won once here last season and twice the season before and whilst they all have been difficult games it would be great to get another win.

"Elgin defeated Berwick at Borough Briggs to open the season so we have been well warned about how good they can be at home."
