Elgin win big to end Wilson's wait
Elgin beat East Stirling 5-0 at Borough Briggs to record manager Barry Wilson's first home win in the league since taking over in January.
Striker Craig Gunn gave the Black and Whites a 37th-minute lead when his right-footed strike found the top corner.
Graham Bayne then made it 2-0 in the 57th minute when he finished from the edge of the six-yard box after a neat pull-back by Shane Sutherland.
Samuel Urqhart scored a third for Elgin in the 64th minute when he found space in the penalty area and drilled the ball past the helpless Stirling goalkeeper Craig Gordon.
Centre-back Jamie Duff headed home a fourth goal in the 86th minute before Stirling's Iain Thomson saw his penalty saved by Elgin stopper John Gibson.
Elgin's emphatic victory was secured in the 90th minute when Paul Harkins added a fifth from inside the penalty area.
