Elgin hit back to deny Albion
Elgin came from 2-0 down to secure a 2-2 home draw with Albion and prevent the visitors from going clear at the top of the Third Division.
The away side were 2-0 up inside 13 minutes thanks to Chris Hamilton's clinical 18-yard finish - his third goal in four games - and Robert Love's close-range finish from Steven Canning`s pass.
City pulled one back after 24 minutes with Craig Gunn providing the killer shot from inside the box, before equalising eight minutes before the break through Jason Crooks' penalty after Michael McGowan had fouled Brian Cameron.
Both teams pushed for a winner after the break but John Gemmell's header for Albion was blocked and another header from Crooks was palmed away by Rovers goalkeeper Derek Gaston.
