Gunn fires the right bullets

Craig Gunn's sixth and seventh goals of the season fired Elgin into second place of Division Three as they comfortably beat East Stirling 2-0 at Borough Briggs.

East Stirling goalkeeper Callum Antell produced a fantastic save to deny Gunn from a 28th-minute penalty following David Cane's handball before the striker redeemed himself two minutes later by opening the scoring.

Daniel Moore swung a left-footed corner in from the right and Gunn was on hand to fire home from six yards.

Jordyn Sheerin shot wide five minutes after half-time for the visitors but East Stirling fashioned few chances and rarely threatened.

Gunn then condemned East Stirling to a third straight defeat as he doubled his tally with nine minutes remaining courtesy of another close-range finish.
