Frankfurt residents have not known anything like it before 12 goals in two games and entertaining attacking football have brought a carnival atmosphere to the city four months early and the fans are now lining up to catch a glimpse of Friedhelm Funkels side in action.
There has been a rush on tickets for Eintrachts last three home games before Christmas in the wake of a 6-3 Bundesliga win over Cologne and 6-0 thrashing of Schalke in the German Cup, but Funkel was keen to dampen the enthusiasm ahead of his sides difficult trip to second-place Bremen this weekend knowing the quality of the opponents.
"Theres no need for us to be on cloud nine," he said. "Werder Bremen are overwhelming favourites, have the strongest strike-partnership in the league and want to be German champions taking Bayerns crown and well have to be at our best to even get a point there," he added on eintracht.de.
Funkel wont be changing the side which has been victorious in the last three games, including the cup win.
