Fahrmann close to full fitness

Eintracht Frankfurt goalkeeper Ralf Fahrmann is finally near to making his debut for the club after recovering from a hand injury.

The 20-year-old has been sidelined since his summer switch from Schalke, but is ready for the upcoming weekend action, when his current club face his former employers.

Fahrmann told the Frankfurter Rundschau: "Returning to training action makes me the happiest man on earth.

"I have been out for ten weeks now and I am longing to get back to full fitness.

"It is great to be in regular training now and not just a light version, but the best thing is that I am not afraid any more that my hand could get hurt once again.

"I came here to get the regular goalkeeper position and I will do my very best to do so as soon as I am fully over this injury."
