Eintracht Frankfurt will join Bavarian side Greuther Fuerth in the German league next season following their 3-0 win over Alemannia Aachen with Cameroon striker Mohamadou Idrissou scoring twice.

Frankfurt's victory at Aachen on Monday night puts them back in the Bundesliga at the first attempt having been relegated last season, while Guerther Fuerth will make their debut in Germany's top tier.

With both Frankfurt and Fuerth on 68 points at the top of the league, Germany's second division title has still to be decided with two games left.

A third team from the second division will join them in the Bundesliga next season with Hamburg-based St Pauli, Paderborn and Fortuna Duesseldorf all in the hunt to finish third and qualify for the promotion play-off.

The third best team in the second division will play-off against the team which finishes third from bottom in the Bundesliga, currently Cologne, over two legs at the end of the season for the right to play in Germany's top tier.

Kaiserslautern had their relegation from the Bundesliga confirmed last Saturday and could be joined by Hertha Berlin, who are second from bottom, and two points behind Cologne.
