Michael Devlin banned for Hamilton in Betfred Cup
Hamilton will be without Michael Devlin through suspension for their Betfred Cup clash at Edinburgh City.
The centre-back has been booked in each of Accies' two Group G encounters and misses out on the trip to Meadowbank Stadium.
Hamilton are unlikely to hand new Greek defender Georgios Sarris a debut in Devlin's place as manager Martin Canning has earmarked Saturday's visit of Livingston as his first match since joining.
Canning will not feature himself because of a jaw injury while Jesus Garcia Tena (knee) and Eamonn Brophy (ankle) remain doubts and both Darren Lyon and Gramoz Kurtaj have yet to feature this season as they catch up on their team-mates' fitness following injuries.
Edinburgh City have suffered Betfred Cup defeats to Livingston (3-0) and Ayr (1-0) since gaining league status but manager Gary Jardine believes they are showing steady improvement.
"We went down heavily in a pre-season friendly to Hibs but improved for facing Livingston," he said. "We learnt again and did well against Ayr and we could have got something for that game.
"Hamilton will be tough as they showed a lot of quality against St Mirren on Saturday but it is another opportunity for us to take a step forward as we get ready for the league."
