ANOTHER USEFUL EXERCISE

Published: 02 Apr 2009 - 09:12:19

Jim McInally was pleased with a good night's work in a closed-door friendly against Bathgate Thistle at Firs Park. Craig Tully and Dean Richardson both got a run-out after missing Saturday's win at Berwick Rangers because of suspension. Also pleasing was the inclusion of a couple of the club's under-19 squad, who played their part too. "Bathgate put out a strong team so it was good to get that kind of test," he said. "Tully and Deano need games like this if we are to have them ready for Saturday matches. "I thought Gary Kelly and David Thornton also turned in good performances. All in all, it was a decent work out for us."
