McManus boosts Fifers
East Fife have striker Paul McManus available to face Brechin after three months out with a knee injury.
Craig Johnstone sits out the second game of his two-match ban.
David Muir and Gareth Wardlaw have been ruled out with ankle knocks and Darren Smith is an injury doubt due to a thigh problem.
Manager Billy Brown looking to build on last week's 2-0 win over Albion Rovers.
Brown said: "It was good to win again after a couple of games where sending offs cost us.
"Brechin have done well under Ray McKinnon and along with Queen of the South they are the team in form.
"It will be a hard task to beat them especially with reduced numbers but we will give it a real go."
Brechin will be without Ewan Moyes as they look to keep their fine run under new manager Ray McKinnon going.
City captain Moyes serves a one-match ban as McKinnon's men aim to make it five wins on the bounce.
McKinnon has delayed naming his side to face the Fifers as he wants to give powerful midfielder Craig Molloy as long as possible to prove his fitness after a knee injury.
The Glebe Park boss said: "East Fife have been excellent since Billy Brown came in so we will have to play well to bring something back.
"The players were fantastic when we defeated Alloa last Saturday and to be challenging for a play-off place is a terrific achievement by them.
"However, this is the type of away game that will be extremely challenging."
