Record goes as East Stirling lose East Stirling's 100% record in 2011 came to an end with a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Queen's Park at Hampden Park. The result denied the visitors from picking up a sixth consecutive wins in all competitions. East Stirling were forced into an early change when Dean Richardson was withdrawn with an injury. Things quickly got worse for the visitors when David Murray opened the scoring for Queen's Park with a close-range strike. The Spiders doubled their lead shortly afterwards through Michael Daly's shot from inside the six-yard box. Daryll Meggatt came close to finding a third for Queen's Park but his 20-yard effort was caught by Michael Andrews in the East Stirling goal. A 20-yard shot from Kevin Crawley flew inches wide and that was as close as the visitors came to pulling back a goal.
