Shire wait on injured duo

East Stirling head coach John Coughlin will make a late decision on the fitness of Michael Bolochoweckyj and Kevin Turner ahead of the visit of Stirling Albion.

Both players returned to training on Thursday after injury and could go into the squad at the weekend. Jordan McKechnie is a doubt for the Shire, however, after being ill earlier in the week.

Coughlin is looking for the win that will move his men above their opponents and into fourth place in the table.

He said: "We are two points behind and Stirling have a game in hand. They play that on Tuesday and I want them to be going into that game looking to catch up with us because we have won this one."

The visitors include defender Chris Smith for the first time in four months after a knee operation, while Dale Fulton is also available after a month out with a hamstring injury.

However, Ross Forsyth's ankle injury keeps him absent for the Forthbank men.

"Chris has trained all week and has a chance of being involved in what will no doubt be a really close encounter," said Albion manager Grieg McDonald.

"Both sides have won a game apiece and there has been a draw as well so we are well matched.

"The Shire will be looking to overtake us so this would be a great game to win and open up a gap."
