Townsley swells Shire's options

East Stirling have Chris Townsley available to face Queen's Park following his ankle injury.

But Michael Bolochoweckyj is a major doubt for the hosts with illness.

A knee injury keeps Nathan Sheoherd away from the action, while Paul McMullan's heel problem sees him remain absent. The Shire are still unable to call upon French striker Lerou Tahin due to registration issues with the SPFL.

Head coach Craig Tully said: "We have enjoyed good success in our last two games where we have beaten Albion Rovers and Whitehill Welfare. Both of those games were away from home so it would be nice to keep the run going with a home win."

Queen's Park welcome Chris Duggan back into their ranks after they were not given permission to play the striker in last Saturday's Scottish Cup win over Gretna by parent club Partick Thistle.

Gavin Mitchell is a doubt after picking up a knock in a midweek under-20 development game, with the Spiders having already ruled out James Baty (knee) and Kevin Fotheringham (calf).

Head coach Gus McPherson said: "Both the Shire and ourselves are on good runs and will be out to keep that going.

"They have improved their goals against column a lot recently so we will have to be creative in attack to get the better of them."
