Tapping blow for East Stirling

East Stirling are without Jordan Tapping as they host bottom of the table Queen's Park.

Tapping has been ruled out with a groin injury while Ross O'Donoghue is a major doubt with a hamstring problem as John Coughlin's side look to move above Stirling into the play-off places.

Coughlin said: "We are not scoring enough goals to secure a top four place and hopefully that will change. We had half a dozen good openings at Montrose last Saturday but missed them all and lost 2-0.

"We need someone to come up with a clinical approach in front of goal and get us the goals that will defeat an improving Queen's Park side."

Queen's Park have both Ross Fisher and Joao Vitoria fit again but neither are expected to start as head coach Gus MacPherson looks set to stick to the side that defeated Albion Rovers 4-0 last Saturday.

That was the Spiders' first win in nine attempts and MacPherson hopes that it can lead to a strong end of the season for his side.

"We had not won in a while so it was terrific to defeat Albion Rovers and the players will take confidence from it," he said.

"We are in a good place in terms of having bodies available and it is nice to have a selection headache of the right kind. We have to look to end the season with a flurry by winning some more games starting at East Stirling."
