Shire seek home comforts

East Stirling have been boosted by the return to fitness of Philip Zufle and Kyle Gillespie for the visit of Queen's Park as they chase their first home win in six games.

Head coach John Coughlin is still without five players with Nathan Shepherd sidelined with an ankle problem and Raymond Buchanan, Jordan Holt, Rhys Devlin and Jamie Benton all out due to knee injuries.

Coughlin said: "We went to Hampden and won in our last meeting with Queen's Park and we won last weekend at Elgin, so we have shown that we can compete with the promotion-chasing sides.

"We now need to show that we can do that on our own patch."

Queen's Park head coach Gardner Speirs is considering changes to his attack after the goalless draw with Peterhead last weekend.

Speirs has a fully-fit and suspension free squad to choose from, but may tweak his line-up as he continues his search for an end-product

"Some of our build-up play last weekend was great, but we failed to build on that by not taking our chances and that cost us a couple of points," said Speirs.

"With this league being as tight as it is I want to keep the build-up play, but add the goals we need to win games so I may make one or two changes.

"The Shire won at our place in the last meeting and also had a good win at Elgin last Saturday, so we know that we need to play well to win this one."
