Watt set for Shire debut

East Stirling have brought Stenhousemuir winger Josh Watt in on loan and he looks set to start against leaders Peterhead as head coach John Coughlin looks to increase the creativity in his team.

However, the Shire will be without Nathan Shepherd (knee), Ross O'Donoghue (groin), Paul Quinn (virus) and skipper Kevin Turner (ankle) as they face the side that Coughlin reckons deserve to be in top spot.

Coughlin said: "Peterhead are the best side in our league as they have pace and power as well as good goalscorers. We are a bit short on attacking options, however we do not intend to sit back and let Peterhead show us how good they are."

The Blue Toon also have players ruled out with Callum MacDonald (knee), Dean Richardson (head), David Cox (foot) and Fraser McLaren (hamstring) missing, and the absentee list could grow as Ryan McCann, Rory McAllister and Andy Rodgers are all facing fitness tests.

Peterhead manager Jim McInally said: "We could be short on numbers so some boys will have to play despite not being fully fit. The Shire are a hard working side, however we have a bit of momentum behind us at the moment and do not want that to stop.

"We could do with getting some more bodies in but nothing will happen before this game."
