Coughlin prepares for send off

East Stirling head coach John Coughlin departs after the visit of Montrose and he welcomes Ross O'Donoghue back from injury for the game.

Michael Herd (ankle) is missing for the Shire and Jordan McKechnie is unavailable with Grant Hay expected to return as goalkeeper.

Coughlin said: "It would be good to end my time here with a win. We have progressed season on season and it would be nice to leave on a high.

"We lost heavily at Elgin last week as we never took chances when we were on top. Hopefully we can score in this game."

Montrose boss George Shields will take charge of the Gable Endies for the first time since being appointed permanent manager.

Shields will be without the suspended Ricky McIntosh as well as David Gray, who has picked up a knock in training, and Callum Ferguson (knee).

The new boss said: "My last game as caretaker manager was a 2-1 win over Annan and hopefully we can build on that in my first game in charge officially.

"If we win we go above East Stirling and that is another motivation to win this game."
