Zufle missing for Shire

East Stirling boss John Coughlin will again be without defender Philipp Zufle when they play host to Montrose.

Zufle was shown a straight red card in last month's defeat to Rangers and serves the final game of his suspension.

Coughlin continues to be without Rhys Devlin, Jamie Glasgow, Jamie Benton and Craig Donaldson through injury while Craig Hume is also unavailable after switching to junior side Tranent earlier this week.

Coughlin said: "We will just get on with things and look for a very welcome win. We have a good record against Montrose at Ochilview and want to keep that going and also gain a bit of revenge for a defeat earlier in the season at Links Park.

"We were poor in the opening half. Montrose took full advantage and were out of sight by half-time."

Montrose boss Stuart Garden is still without the services of midfielder Paul Lunan.

The 30-year-old suffered a fractured ankle in their 2-2 draw with Elgin back in October and remains Garden's only injury concern.

An unbeaten run of six games has seen the Gable Endies rise up to third place in the division but Garden insists they will not rest on their laurels.

"One of the major factors in our run has been the way the players have applied themselves and we need to keep applying ourselves for it to continue," he said.

"We lost both of our games at East Stirling last season so it would be nice to put an end to that run. We won 4-1 at Berwick last Saturday and a repeat of that performance will be needed as I know John Coughlin will be out to make up for our win over them."
