Tapping returns to Shire fold

East Stirling have Jordan Tapping back in their squad to face Clyde at Ochilview.

Shire head coach John Coughlin is looking to add a defender on loan from a League One club in time for kick-off.

He said: "Things are so tight in the race for a play-off place that we are entering a six game period that will define our season. Clyde are closest to securing a place behind either Peterhead or Annan and they will be looking to win this game and all but cement themselves in.

"If we cut out the mistakes we made against Queen's Park defensively last week we can win."

Clyde welcome back Brian McQueen (head) and Michael Daly (suspension) but Ryan MacBeth (virus), Bradley Coyne (knee), and Kevin Watt remain out.

Bully Wee manager Jim Duffy views the meeting with the Shire as a great chance to move even closer to securing an extension to their season.

Duffy said: "This is a good opportunity for us to move 10 points clear of East Stirling and that will be difficult to make up. The top two are fighting for the title and the next six sides are involved in the play-off chase.

"It will be great to win and increase our chances."
