Stirling stretched for Bully Wee visit

East Stirling have selection problems ahead of the visit of Clyde.

Jason Holt (ankle), Philip Zufle (ankle), Mark Begg (foot), Nathan Shepherd (knee), Rhys Devlin (knee) and Jamie Benton (knee) have all been ruled out.

Paul Quinn will also miss out after going down with chickenpox and Jamie McKernon is no longer available to head coach John Coughlin as he has returned to St Mirren at the end of his loan period.

Coughlin said: "We were a bit stretched against Queen's Park last weekend but put in a decent performance and all I can ask for is the same again."

"A win would eat into Clyde's five-point gap over us and that is the aim. A repeat of our 3-0 win from earlier this season would be a great day's work."

Defender David Marsh will miss out for Clyde - but the Bully Wee are boosted by the return of John Neil and Kevin Nicol.

Marsh is nursing a groin injury but Neil is available again after illness and Nicol will return to action after a hamstring problem.

Ahead of the game, manager Jim Duffy said: "East Stirling are a side that are very good at keeping the ball and playing in an open and attractive style.

"We started really well at Montrose last Saturday and worked hard throughout but we fell out of things in an attacking sense.

"We will need a 90-minute performance to win this one. They won the first game at their place and we won the second at ours. That emphasises how tight these games are."
