Big game in prospect for East Stirling

Bottom club East Stirling could be destined for the end-of-season play-off against either the winners of the Highland or the Lowland League if they lose to visitors Berwick.

Their cause is not helped by injuries to Ross Gilmour (foot), Chris Townsley (rib) and Neil McCabe (thigh), with Ross Fisher struggling as well.

Head coach Craig Tully said: "We know that we are heading into very difficult territory but we simply have to get on with things. We are working hard on being stronger defensively and more potent up front.

"Hopefully we will see some positive results against Berwick."

Berwick welcome back Allan Walker from a back injury but Steven Notman drops out with a cut eye as the Borderers look to end lingering relegation play-off fears.

Manager John Coughlin said: "A point means that we cannot be caught by our hosts unless there is an amazing swing in goal difference but we will go there looking for the full three to be sure.

"We cannot take anything for granted as the Shire have defeated Queen's Park and Clyde recently so they are more than capable.

"They will also not by lying down and accepting a place in the play-offs, so we face a difficult afternoon."
