Lurinsky at the double

East Stirling's Alexander Lurinsky scored a brace in a 3-1 victory over Montrose at Ochilview Park.

Lurinsky's low effort gave the hosts the lead after 38 minutes when he swept home from the edge of the box.

The striker bagged his second from the penalty spot following Douglas Cameron's foul soon after half-time.

Kevin Turner made it 3-0, heading in a Scott Maxwell cross inside the six-yard box.

The visitors pulled a goal back through Jamie Winter's spectacular free-kick just four minutes later but it proved too little too late for the Gables Endies.

The victory ends a run of six games without a win for the Shire but they remain rooted to the foot of the table.
