Maxwell off the mark
Scott Maxwell scored his first league goal of the season as East Stirling defeated Elgin 3-0.
Elgin started well, but Craig Gunn and Shane Sutherland both missed good chances early on.
But East Stirling started to take control as the half wore on and went in front after 37 minutes when Maxwell was on hand to sweep home from close range after good work from Michael Herd.
The pattern continued in the second half, as a fine Raymond Jellema save denied Maxwell Wright.
David Niven rattled the crossbar after 70 minutes for Elgin but they were two down eight minutes later when Michael Bolochoweckyj planted a header into the bottom corner.
And Wright grabbed a third after 82 minutes with a stunning long-range effort.
