Comfortable victory for East Sterling

Michael Herd's 18th minute strike sent East Stirling on their way to a 3-0 win that saw them overtake opponents Clyde in the Scottish Third Division.

The hosts took the lead in the 18th minute when midfielder Herd blasted the ball into the top corner of Jamie Barclay's goal from 25 yards out.

Paul Quinn doubled the Shire's lead from the penalty spot in the 57th minute after he was brought down in the box by Barclay moments earlier.

Andrew Stirling sealed the points six minutes later when he drilled the ball into the bottom corner from 25 yards out to make it 3-0 with half an hour left to play.

Clyde offered very little going forward in the second half and never looked like denting East Stirling's lead.
