Christopher Templeman at the double for Montrose

Christopher Templeman bookended the scoring as Montrose moved up to seventh in Ladbrokes Scottish League Two with a 4-2 victory at rock-bottom East Stirling.

Templeman opened the scoring in the 13th minute after collecting Gary Fraser's pass from his own half and curling past the despairing Richard Barnard.

The hosts drew level seven minutes after the interval following David McKenna's finish from close range although Fraser re-established the Gable Endies' lead just before the hour mark with a left-foot strike.

Adrian Mallagaray doubled their advantage in the 79th minute but, in a frantic finish, Jordan Cairnie pulled one back with a header before Templeman had the final say in the dying moments with a low drive.
