Sean Higgins nets double as 10-man Clyde hold off bottom club East Stirling

Clyde maintained their promotion push in Scottish League Two with an eventful 4-2 win over bottom side East Stirling.

The basement dwellers made a lively start and were ahead after just three minutes as Ross Fisher set up Thomas Orr in the penalty box but the scores were level four minutes later when Jordan Cairnie headed into his own net.

The visitors took the lead via another header five minutes before the break, this time as Scott McLaughlin headed home after being set up by Scott Linton.

Sean Higgins fired low past Darren Dolan to make it 3-1 with 19 minutes remaining but East Stirling had a lifeline just three minutes later when David Marsh was dismissed for a challenge on Reece Donaldson.

Kris Faulds had the home fans sensing a comeback when he netted with nine minutes to play to make it 3-2 but Higgins put the result beyond doubt after being set up by David Gormley in the last minute.
