Maxwell Wright nets last-gasp winner for East Stirling

Substitute Maxwell Wright struck a late winner as East Stirling edged a 2-1 victory over Queen's Park at Ochilview Park.

Ross Gilmour fired wide in the opening five minutes as the hosts tried to get an early grip on the game but Queen's Park began to dominate before too long with James Baty and Chris Duggan both sending shots wide.

The away side almost took the lead midway through the first half but Duggan's header missed the target before goalkeeper William Muir kept out Christopher Townsley's effort at the other end.

Jordan Cairnie headed wide as the Shire pressed after the break and they did not have to wait too long as David McKenna fired Nathan Shepherd's cross into the top corner.

Sean Burns' 79th-minute equaliser made it look like the spoils would be shared but Wright netted at the death to hand the struggling hosts a narrow victory.
